The story takes place within the year 2020. Tokio Kuryuu may be a normal middle-school student who likes to play games. One day, a transfer student named Saika Amagi approaches Tokio and takes him to the varsity rooftop where she sends Tokio directly into the planet R:X.
There, he finds Kite, the legendary hero and leader of Twilight Knight dedicated to guard the planet fighting against Flügel, the leader of a mysterious group called Schicksal.
